## Ever wondered who makes policy decisions, how those decisions are influenced, and how policy is shaped?

A former Whitehall Special Adviser, Adrian Pepper has inside knowledge of the UK’s central government. Want to know how change happens? Join us for an eye-opening exploration of Whitehall’s work. We will cover the mechanisms by which policy is made and implemented, influences that shape decision making and case studies of influencing policy and government outcomes. We will also look at the ways in which central government interacts with local government and how central government is constituted, funded and operated.

### Course Takeaways:

1. Clearer understanding of who governs Britain
2. Understanding of how and why government policy changes
3. Knowledge on how the political environment in which policy-making happens
4. Insights into how voters, Parliament, the media, and other states and organisations influence the work of central government.

### This course is for:

CEOs, Directors of Finance, Heads of Communications, policy officers, and Cabinet support staff. No prior knowledge is needed.

### About the trainer:
