Helping to sustain the environment
It is estimated some 10,000 people in London suffer premature death due to air pollution. Over 338,000 tonnes of recycling was sent to landfill because of contamination in 2015. Councils face fees of around £87 per tonne of waste sent to landfill and with over 41 million tonnes of council-controlled waste sent in 2016, the costs not to mention the effects on the planet are astronomical. Single-use plastics needlessly destroy life in our oceans. And when you think that every toothbrush ever made is still existing on the planet somewhere the scale of behaviour change needed is daunting. We are working with behavioural science experts to design interventions that really make a difference to the environment. We’ve dramatically reduced the tonnage to landfill, taken on the use of single-use plastics, changed behaviour to reduce air pollution and reduced food waste.
